It is a club requirement that all pilots hold the BMFA ‘A’ certificate as a minimum in order to fly unsupervised at Warboys airfield.
Training is available by arrangement and students will be mentored by one or at most two instructors.
This will be on any mutually convenient day or time, by arrangement between the student and mentor.
The training officer has provided this guide on recommended trainer aircraft. This can be download from here.
In the first instance students are requested to contact the training officer at training@ramseymac.com.
Members working towards their ‘A’ certificate should download the following training record card and keep a record of all training progress. The card is available for download here.
The more advanced ‘B’ Certificate is designed to recognise the pilot’s more advanced ability and demonstrate a level of safety, which may be considered by an event organiser as suitable for flying at a public display. Holders of the ‘A’ certificate who wish to progress and work toward attaining their ‘B’ certificate may also seek mentoring and should contact the training officer in the first instance.
There is also a training record card for members working towards their ‘B’ certificate. The card is available for download here.
Further details of the BMFA Achievement scheme and the certificates are available on the BMFA Website: BMFA Achievement Scheme.
